I imagine the (remaining) staff at Games Workshop Canada feel a little heavy-hearted today; as of tonight the office will close and GW will move its operations to the US headquarters. This plan was put into motion a long time ago, and the closure of the Oakville office comes as no surprise – nor should it be the cause of any concern for the Warhammer community.
Though I’m sure things will be fine with the newly christened GW North America, I still feel a bit of sadness now that the Canadian office is departing – I’d become friends with a few of the staff and had at the very least met everyone on one occasion or another.
Tonight a few staffers and volunteers will be getting together to send off GW Canada in style. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there and to toast everyone for their hard work and outstanding accomplishments.
