Holy Hand Grenade!

Another late update… I have to stop making apologies, and I guess I need to adjust my schedule.

When Josh and I started the comic back in April, I had a lot more free time on my hands than I do now, almost half a year later; I need to find some time between pages to work on personal projects that have taken a backseat to Gone To Ground.

You see, my goal for this year is to have one of my projects finished and self-published so that I can take it around to some cons next year and see what kind of interest I can generate.

So I’ve decided to take the comic off the weekly schedule (which I’ve been missing two thirds of the time) and go with a bimonthly-if-not-weekly approach.

Hopefully this won’t be a permanent change, and hopefully not TOO many of you will lose interest and desert the 401!

if i remember correctly, the SARGE has got a powerfist that was accidentally procured for him by another character… so even if the grenade doesn’t work he could tear holes in the trukk!

  2. EwneoN says:

@ BEN Just finished kapooka eh? nitpicking a chevron coz you think you know better now you’ve done a forty minute lesson on rank? dude who cares either way he’s a sarge and either way it could be one chevron or three, it’s the 41st millenium, a fictional comic, things aren’t going to be the same as they are now in real life.

  3. Ben says:

Actually no I havn’t just finished Kapooka, I’m a cadet. My point is not that ALL guardsmen use the current rank system (at least when it comes to chevrons), i have no problem if your junior officers are lieutenants or chief-hetmen, my point is that CADIANS use it.

  4. Mike says:

    err chaps

you do know you are arguing over a comic about a game that’s set in the future don’t you?

now play nice and just enjoy the humour and the beautiful illustrations

    Mike

PS I use Steel Legion and their sergeants don’t have any stripes ( but they do have a Orks head in one hand, not sure if that counts)

  5. jonnyrawkus says:

COMIC about a FICTIONAL universe. end

  6. Ben says:

Thanks mike for putting things in perspective; we have all gotten a little too agrresive over this. Don’t get me wrong, I love the comic. My point was mearly that the cadian sergeant model does have three chevrons and these are cadians.

  7. Alucard586 says:

    Ha! funny!

also all this arguing over chevrons is rather silly. Besides i thought a sergeant’s rank insignia was on his left sleeve (at least that’s where it is on the model anyway)

  8. Ghostrider says:

Ben, stop being a massive bore. We get it, the cadian sarge minature has 3 chevron’s. Have they released minatures for every other cadian rank? Have you seen them all? Didn’t think so.

Once again, a fictional game, can do what it pleases with any symbols it pleases. the 401st might be different fro mthe cadian 8th. Maybe the spre chevron fell off. Who cares much beyond chibbing grenades at orks.

  9. Nash says:

Vuther, I see your “Ni!” and raise with an “Ekke Ekke Ekke Ekke Ptang Zoo Boing Zow Zing!”

    :P

  10. Don says:

I wonder since when orcs take prisoners…
Always thought, they just go for gore ?!?
Any orc playas around to clarify this?
    ;)
