Hey folks,
Trying to keep on top of work, my personal life, and the comic has been a difficult juggling act these past two months; I dunno how parents do it – there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. Oddly, that exact problem has been part of my razor-riffic assignments these last few weeks. I’m powering through the last four pages of this storyline though, and we’ll stop to take in the lay of the land at that point.
In other news, I used to run a painting blog called Cutthroat with a few friends, one of whom was once a Graphic Designer with GW Canada. Kris made a big career/life move to Seattle a few years back to work at Privateer Press, and he’s now got a little Insider article that shows off his +3 Beard of Awesomeness… and a his kickass workspace (well, kickass compared to being surrounded by razors)!
Last weekend I took a break from work/hobby/life, and just took it easy. I was getting to the point of burning out, so it was good to just spend two full days relaxing. The Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) was on so I checked it out with my friend Rob, who was visiting. I bought some prints (two by Joy Ang; here and here), and met a bunch of awesome artists, including the following:

Rob, Kim and I also went to Medieval Times for dinner… Which wasn’t as hokey as I thought it was going to be… cheezy, but fun.

No, not discontinued… I just don’t have the same amount of free time that I did last year – I have to fit working on the pages in with a lot of other responsibilities now. I’ve been trying to work out how I can produce the comic more efficiently, and will try out some tactics after this storyline is done.
