Yeah, when looking for reference material for the DKK I sourced a lot of imagery from the WWII Wehrmacht uniforms and gear. The StG-44 did play a factor in how in how that design turned out… but since then I’ve been loaned the DKK books and can see that the (mostly German-themed) Korps have a rifle that resembles the (american designed) Browning.
So to answer your question, no… it wasn’t on purpose!
It’s something I’ll likely change in the design before the DKK make their first appearance.
It actually looks… really cool. I might have to convert my Veteran’s lasguns like that.
